Cuban Restaurants In Miami

Can someone help me with a Cuban sandwich recipe?
I was in Miami about 13 years ago and we stopped at this Cuban restaurant. The sandwich we ordered was on a firm sort of bread. I know it was not French bread. The look of it did look sort of like French bread though. I think the meat may have been pork. There was no lettuce or tomatoe on it. I think it had only meat and some sort of sauce. Like I said it was about 13 years ago. The only thing I remember about the name was something like “Pica” something. I could be wrong about that though.
I love all kind of internation food, and the cuban area in miami i love it even in the island which i been, i love puerto rico, i got a chance to get a cookbook from there, and i havent had any complaints since i ben cooking it.
You can use any two types of cheese or meat in this simple grilled recipe. What makes it ‘Cuban’ is the pressing. If you don’t have a panini grill or George Foreman grill, place a heavy skillet on the sandwiches as they cook in a skillet, then turn, weight the sandwiches, and cook until golden.
The original Cuban sandwich is made of “French type bread, butter, mustard, Swiss cheese, pickles, honey cured sweet ham, and pork shoulder” according to Fernando, who wrote to tell me about it.
INGREDIENTS:
8 soft French rolls or Hoagie buns, split
1/4 cup mustard
1/4 cup pickle relish
4 slices Swiss cheese, cut to fit rolls
4 slices deli ham, cut to fit rolls
4 slices Provolone cheese, cut to fit rolls
4 slices deli turkey breast, cut to fit rolls
3 Tbsp. butter, softened
PREPARATION:
Preheat panini grill, indoor grill, or waffle iron.
Spread mustard on half of the cut side of split rolls. Spread pickle relish on the other half. Make sandwiches using the coated split rolls, using Swiss, ham, Provolone, and turkey.
Spread butter thinly on outside of rolls.
Place sandwich on grill, close cover, and press down if necessary, using a kitchen towel or oven mitt to shield your hand. Grill for 4-5 minutes until crisp and hot. Makes 4 sandwiches.
I love it, try to invest in getting a panini grill its the best.
