Bypass Hotel Age-limit Policy?
Hi, me and a couple of buddies want to make a road trip down to Florida from NY for about a summer during our first college summer break. We already planned the everglades and snorkeling in the keys, however we also want to spend a couple days in Orlando. We found a pretty decent price for a resort and a day or 2 at the parks, but the check in Age is 21. We are all 18 going on 19, and we might bring in a new freshy who is 17. Is there anyway to bypass this? Its more than 1000 miles away from home, don’t they have to accept us? Or is there a possible way for one of our parents to call us in when we arrive?
I’m sorry, but it’s highly unlikely they will accept a call from a parent. Think of it this way: the hotel is just looking out for it’s own best interest and cannot accept a letter or a phone call. How could you even prove it was a parent? You may all be upstanding people who would be the perfect guests, but hotels have their age rules for a reason. If you shop around you will find plenty of hotels that will allow you to stay as long as someone in your party is 18 and has a major credit card. Have fun!
