The Embarkation Process the Port of Miami?
I have been reading that the process at the Port of Miami can really be awful. Long lines, unfriendly staff etc. We are arriving the same day as our cruise with about 4 hours to spare. We were told that we have to be there no later than 3pm for a 4pm sail. We plan to arrive at the ship by 1pm at the latest. Will we be in line at the ship forever?
You can wait a REALLY long time in Miami, but can you arrive any earlier? Usually the later you arrive the longer you have to wait, because everyone has arrived before you and they board first. We had to make our way through the “fun pass” and then we were taken to another line to receive our sail and signs, etc, then we were held in a waiting area, then called to another line, then we had our pictures taken then we were finally able to board. We got there about 11 tho and we were on by like 12:30 so it wasn’t too bad. When we went through Miami tho, leaving was horrible, because they basically line EVERYONE’s luggage up and you have to search through to find yours, so some people had this big colorful bows on theirs which made it easier to find. In Port Canaveral they have a luggage carousel which was awesome!
