South Beach Miami Florida Restaurants

New Yorkers, do you love where you live or prefer elsewhere?
I live in Miami, Florida to be exact. I love the beach and morning weather at times. My only dislikes about it are the slow-paced time, the lack of “action” (heck south beach only got like 2 tiny clubs and just too much restaurants), and the “fake” people.
When I went to New York last summer, as I have relatives there, I immediately fell in love with the city. I loved the diversity, the fast-paced surrounding, convenient subway, Chinatown, Times Square. Haven’t seen a more beautiful place.
i know taxes and cost of living are higher, but I see lots of small businesses there doing good, grocery stores, restaurants, dollar stores, etc. with lots of customers.
I just left living in new york last at the end of ’09 and i will say there is a special energy there, but i lived downtown manhattan and a lot of grocery stores, drug stores, restaurants and retail stores were closing. I feel like the bad economy has hit hard there. I am actually considering moving to Miami, but I do understand you when you say there are a lot of “fake” people there. Fake people are everywhere, and I think you have to find your niche in any city.
The people are NYC’s best asset, they are really passionate about what they do and very interesting to talk to…they come from all different places and all walks of life. Definitely the 1 thing I miss about new york. It is very common for people to be “NY-MIA” new yorkers are always going to miami. i met a ton of people from miami who now live in new york, since the flight is just over 2 hours
move to new york!!! try something new…and you can always move back because i bet someday you will miss the slow pace!!!
